Treatments and appointments at Health and Social Care (HSC) hospitals are free for all UK residents. Hospitals in Northern Ireland are under the management of the five regional Health and Social Care Trusts. You may be referred to a hospital by your GP (or other healthcare professional) if they decide that you need specialist treatment.
You may be admitted as an Inpatient, Day Case or Outpatient depending on the nature or complexity of your treatment.
