Directorate of Integrated Care

The concept of integrated care is about promoting ‘joined-up’ or partnership working among health-care practitioners:

A smoother and more efficient ‘patient journey’ in health care is achieved when all practitioners work closely and cohesively on behalf of patients to identify and deliver improved services to patients.

The Directorate of Integrated Care is responsible for commissioning and managing General Medical, Dental, Ophthalmic and Pharmacy services. It is also responsible for the Primary Care Infrastructure Development Programme.

Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about services provided by family practitioner services such as family doctors, dentists, pharmacist or optician, you should in the first instance make your complaint to the practice or practitioner for local resolution.
