Dementia Training for Informal Caregivers is aimed at family members and friends of people living with dementia. The training equips them with the knowledge, skills and understanding of caring for a person living with a dementia and help them build confidence and resilience in undertaking their caring role.
This free training enables Informal Caregivers to feel empowered, supported and reassured in their caring role ensuring that they take cognisance of their own individual health and social well being needs. They will also be informed about relevant services and how they access these for their loved ones.
The training is provided across each of the five Health and Social Care Trust areas. Training is delivered as six modular sessions of two hour duration to be delivered over a six week period. [wpfilebase tag=fileurl id=3278 linktext=’Click here for course content and details of the six modules.’ /]
