Manage Pain, Live Well – Book Your Spot for 2026

15th December 2025

Free pain management courses

The Arthritis UK Pain-Management course calendar for January to March 2026 is now available.

These courses are part of a 6-week Pain Management Programme, which uses the Self-Management Toolbox developed through research by Stanford University, the Self-Management Resource Centre, and healthcare professionals. This research is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains relevant and effective.

About the Programme

Courses are delivered by two accredited volunteer tutors who live with long-term conditions themselves, bringing valuable lived experience to the sessions. The programme is designed for individuals who want to take an active role in managing symptoms and improving their quality of life.

What’s in the Self-Management Toolbox?

  • Action planning
  • Distraction techniques
  • Problem solving
  • Improving sleep
  • Moving more
  • Healthy eating

Each week, participants build on these tools with peer support. By the end of the course, they will have practical strategies to manage their condition effectively.
