
Living Well is a Community Pharmacy service that supports you in improving your health and wellbeing by:
- raising awareness of various public health messages and campaigns
- sharing of health and wellbeing information
- signposting to a relevant health professional, service or support in the community
- using behavioural interventions, if appropriate
Through the Living Well service, pharmacies help you to address risk factors which contribute to disease in Northern Ireland. Risk factors can include high blood pressure, tobacco use, harmful misuse of alcohol, unhealthy diet, and substance misuse.
You can access the Living Well service in over 500 community pharmacies in Northern Ireland. Campaign topics normally change every two months. Some examples of campaigns and topics that have been presented through “Living Well” include Care in the Sun, Obesity prevention, Stay Well This Winter, Keep Antibiotics Working, Mental Health awareness, Vaccinations, Looking after your health and wellbeing during COVID-19, Know Your Units (Alcohol Awareness), Be Cancer Aware, Boost Your Immunity and Making Healthier Choices.
