How the Interim Adult Protection Board Works
As a Board we will strive to improve learning, enhance practice and ensure that the voices of those with lived experience of Adult Safeguarding and Adult Protection Services are central to all that we do as professionals who work together within our various organisations to make up the adult protection system. By doing this, we believe that the system will work in a more co-ordinated and effective way and, year on year, adults will be better protected.
Membership
The IAPB is made up of key members from the statutory, community, voluntary and independent sectors. We will work with our members and the wider community who are concerned about the protection, safeguarding and support of vulnerable adults.
IAPB Partnerships
The IAPB will be supported by five local adult safeguarding partnerships (LASPs) coterminous with the five Health & Social Care Trusts.

The draft guidance identified a number of sub groups essential to the success of the Board. They are:
- Training and Development Sub Group
