Registering as a Health Service dental patient

Access to health service dentistry is currently very difficult, particularly for unregistered patients, and this is likely to be the case for some time.

  • If you wish to register with a dental practice as a health service patient, you should contact practices in your area directly.  You may have to check with many dental practices and / or be prepared to travel outside of your local area, in order to find a practice that is currently registering health service patients.
  • The HSC service finder can be used to search for dental practices in your area.  You can sort practices by those closest to your address and then extending further afield.  A contact number for each dental practice is available and will hopefully help you find a practice to register with.
  • Alternatively, the full list of dental practices in Northern Ireland can be downloaded as a spreadsheet at Find a Dentist
  • We do not hold a list of practices who are currently accepting new health service patients.
